Peter and Nathan join the discussion on the use of AI by municipalities

In early February, Peter and Nathan travelled to Port Hope, Ontario, for the purpose of Preparing Municipalities for the Future. Joined by AI experts and practioners alike, and hosted by the Municipality of Port Hope, the two day event began by unpacking AI in What is AI Anyway?.

Peter, an invited panelist, shared his visions and predictions for AI, answering questions from the general public as well as representatives from government and civil society.

Nathan, an invited speaker, shared his work in collaboration with The Pamoja Institute through the lens of AI and Community Engagement, discussing the importance of reaching out to, and including diverse voices from communities for co-designing systems intended to be deployed within the public.
