Peter gives an invited talk at, and Tess Co-organizes, the 2025 Digital Innovation in Education Conference
On April 4th, Peter gave an invited talk at the Digital Innovation in Education Conference.
In the talk, “Learning and Researching with Artificial Intelligence: Engaging Critically as Individuals and Society”, Peter discussed the trustworthiness (or otherwise) of various AI systems in a learning and teaching context, which formed the basis of reflections on and advice concerning the role of AI in modern education.
The event, organized by Ontario Tech University’s Frazer Faculty of Education and the Centre for Digital Innovation in Education (CDIE), successfully convened 138 educations, researchers, and students, focusing on four key themes: Pegagogical Innovation, Structural Innovation, Digital Innovation, and Teach for innovations.
The conference was well received. One attendee wrote:
“A heartfelt thank you to the CDIE team for curating such a dynamic, engaging space for educations and professionals to think critically and collaboratively about the future of digital innovation.”
Great work to the CDIE team, and Lab member Tess, for organizing such an engaging event!
