This week, I had the pleasure of presenting our research, “Norm-Governed Human–AI Co-Creation in Marketing: An Artificial Collective Intentionality Framework,” at the 2026 American Marketing Association Summer Academic Conference.
As AI becomes increasingly involved in shaping marketing content and consumer decisions, the key question isn’t just what humans and AI can create together - it’s how this collaboration can remain responsible, transparent, and aligned with human values.
Our work explores the ethical and philosophical dimensions of human–AI co-creation, examining how shared norms, accountability, and human oversight can support more trustworthy collaboration. Our findings suggest that strengthening shared norms and responsible collaboration can enhance trust in human–AI co-creation.
A special thank you to Dr. Peter Lewis for his guidance and support throughout this research. A link to the paper can be found here.
